Maria Palm
Production Planner – ProductionI am so thankful for this exciting, challenging, and fun journey.
How did you join Alo?
It all started in 2013, when I did a 4-week practice in Production Engineering as part of my Swedish studies after moving from Guatemala to Sweden. I helped in finding the root cause of a process problem in the old cylinder factory.
Then I came back as a consultant in 2015, working in Production Engineering, to carry-out some studies and improvements regarding packing material.
In April 2016 I became an Ålö employee and started as Sourcing Quality Engineer in the Purchasing Department. It was a very exciting journey, especially because it involved validation of many new parts and new suppliers due to the new generation of front loaders that was launched.
And then, due to personal reasons, I needed to have a more local job, without the need to travel to visit or audit suppliers. And luckily for me I found just the right position that fitted both my needs and Ålö´s. So, in January 2021 I became a part of the Production Planning department, with the new role Production Planner for the hydraulic kit packaging line. I find this job relevant, challenging, and dynamic. I can say that I have a lot of fun each day of work!
What’s the best thing about working at Ålö?
The best for me is belonging to a solid, international company with a sustained growth trend in the past years. That makes us all get involved in doing things efficiently and looking for improvements in our daily activities. And of course, one of the greatest “pluses” is the good teamwork within my department and among all departments. You always find a helping hand in case you need it!
Can you describe Ålö with three words?
Global, competitive and complex.
