Robert Bergner
Design Engineer – Research & Development"I enjoy the supportive attitude that permeates the company which simplifies cooperation across departments and projects"
How did you join Ålö? In a few words could you describe your main tasks in your position.
I started my engineering career doing mechanical simulations in the defence industry for some years. Then after a few years as a consultant within mechanical design I ended up joining Ålö in the spring of 2017.
My current role at Ålö include mechanical design of the subframes needed to attach the front loaders to all kinds of different tractors. I also work with simulations and strength analyses of the subframes, supporting my colleagues in simulation related matters and develop our evaluation methods.
What type of background is needed for your job?
It is advantageous to have mechanical engineering degree or similar together with a good understanding of solid mechanics. But a willingness to learn new things is also of great importance since I get involved in the development of hydraulic and electrical kits as well.
What’s the best thing about working at Ålö?
Rather short development projects mean that you get to see and evaluate the finished products you’ve been working on which I always find interesting.
I enjoy the supportive attitude that permeates the company which simplifies cooperation across departments and projects.
Can you describe Ålö with three words?
Innovative, global and teamwork.
